AS SSD speed?

I have an MSI H61MA-E35 Motherboard and i get this when running SSD speed test:



Is this because it in not an intel controller? I think it is an Asmedia controller for the sata 3 connections

Would this Mobo be better or could i get a cheaper one with the right gear on it?

Cant seem to download an english version of the tester. The English bit is ticked in the program but it still comes up in German!!

It's fine.

You still have the fast access times and 4K speeds which are the real selling points of SSDs.

You'd see some better benchmark numbers with an Intel SATA 3 controller but I doubt you'd notice the difference in day to day use.
 
Can you recommend a better motherboard with Intel controllers? My mate wants the board i currently have anyway.
 
Well, changed mobo to one with an intel controller and the results are much faster! Now using a Gigabyte Z77M-D3H motherboard. Nephew has the other motherboard!
