Why would someone buy a mouse...to then buy a cable...to then have to mod it. No thanks thats just silly. Not to mention the mice look cheap.

Braided cables for all the things are the rage!! I had them on my PSU for ages. It's a nice addition for the mouse to be fair.

This seems like those £100 'super' HDMI cables that Curry's and the like sell. That cable is likely less than £1 per metre Total manufacture cost is likely less than £2.50. Shocking.

While I do think these are a little expensive they are in line with any paracord mod. Its not about data transfer its about it being so flexible that it feels closer to wireless. Its also different to braided cabling which is just a rubber cable underneath and still feels stiff. Although the stock cable for model o is basically just a looser version of this so you don't need to change unless you just want a new colour.

Honest answer is I don't know.

I think it would be the same cable as before, the one with the looser sheath (compared to the ascended cable), but with a better retention system to prevent the pulling out issue which some users had experienced.

Yeah new batches will have the new black cord. You'll know straight away if its from the new batch as the box is redesigned so the cord is now in the tray next to the mouse rather then tucked under.

I received a matte white Model O- last week and it came with the looser sheathed cable.

Seems fine to me and really happy with the mouse.
