Asda tyres - a bit of a bargain!

I need some fronts for the Focus, maybe rears too so I matching tyres all round. :)

I'm very impressed with conti premium 5's, especially dry breaking, they seem to grow claws and really dig into the tarmac. I would say they are not quite as good as the rain sport 2 for wet performance but pretty close and in dry, well very very good. I *really* do struggle to wheel spin or engage the ABS in the dry.

Cheers, going to get Eco Contact 5, seem to get very good reviews.

I can't believe you went for one brand of tyres over another brand of tyres :(

It's only the fact that I was tailgated by a BMW tonight that I know everything is still normal in the world.

Had the Event Tyres guy (the mobile fitting company Event Tyres!!) come round to my workplace at lunchtime today to fit the Goodyears I ordered.

What a great service. Whole thing was done and dusted in 20mins. Tyres pumped up to my spec, wheels balanced, payment by chip and pin card there and then (no online pre-payment necessary).

Absolutely hassle free, time saving and painless.

Total cost was only £2 more expensive than Asda as well (who require you to drive to one of their fitment centres).

Very highly recommended :-)

Extra curbing? What's that?

Tyres seemed fine though. Did a 90mile round trip after work, no problems whatsoever. In fact, these Goodyears seem to have a better ride quality that the Conti 3s I had previously (though they were reinforced XL).

OK my English is not good enough to get WTF OP is on about.
WTF is on about can someone translate in to Simple English ??
How many tyres ?? Prices ?? Fitment Price ?? Or WHAT ??

XL tyres take more pressure and hence more load. At the same pressure the load capacity is less than a normal tyre.

I've gone back to normal tyres as XL doesn't do much at the same pressure except make the tyre heavier

Found a £5 discount promo code for Event Tyres (the mobile tyre fitting company).

RMK05

Gutted. Would have made the overall price for the Goodyears cheaper than Asda.
