So I have now managed a few full battles on the founders edition. It took me a while at first to get it stable and then to realise that the game appears to be about taking as much map control as possible by taking control of neutral points on the map.

This is ok and you can try and get a big battle going by having about 50% of the points belonging to you and 50% to the enemy, problem I have found so far and this has happened a couple of times, just as you get a decent size battle going somebody seems to win by reaching some kind of arbitrary point limit. I can't work out yet if there is a way to turn it off.

It's looking good though and I hope that they add more game options where map superiority is not necessarily the be all or end all, something like the old kill the commander style skirmishes on TA would be awesome and would mean that different tactics could be employed.

The benchmarks on Youtube look impressive and I'd defo grab it but my specs of an i7 - 16gig ram are letdown by a 750gtx with only 1gig of ram :( doubt it would run.

Time to look for that gfx card upgrade !!

This game doesn't seem to have any real land units with wheels/tracks. Everything is floating which is kind of boring. Are there any plans to add proper ground units?
