I am tempted to buy a DS Lite, in that nice Navy Blue colour (little different), from an asian located retailer.

However, what are the implications?
Plugs? (It says it is a 220v Asian device)
Would it be a HongKong device? Don't they have the same 3pin plugs?
Region locked?

Cheers,

Lee.

Can't comment on the power supply.
However there is no region locking on the DS Lite - so you'll be fine from that point of view.
Check your warranty situation as well - device would certainly have to go back to Asia for any warranty work.

I've bought a few things (PS2, DVD player, phone etc) from HK and power wise they all work fine out the box.

An Asian DS will be region free like all DS Lites. As for the charger, if it's not the correct type you can just buy a third party one from any retailer and it will work fine

You should be good to go. Hong Kong electricals usually use UK 3 pin and sometimes a variation.. but even then all you need is a socket converter. Should be a good deal especially since they tend to charge in US$ and the pound is way up there equal to like $1.95.
