I was just driving back home and ahead of me was an early 90's Nissan Micra
One of those ones with a 1L engine, faded red paint and grey bumpers where the car was so cheap they didn't paint them.

Yet in the back window it had a Nissan sticker proudly stating 'Ask before you borrow it'

Made me laugh, who WOULD want to borrow it!!

I tell you what, with my motor off the road and the weather the way it is, I'd gladly take a Micra over having to use the abomination that is Public Transport.

I actually walked to work today instead!

Surely not. I mean just yesterday my gf got a nice piece of red chewing gum thrown in with her £2 ticket. They kindly left it on the seat so its now stuck on the back of her coat

If they price driving through the roof I'd go on the dole before relying on public transport with things the way they are.

As for the sticker its probably a laugh. I had the companies slogan of "prepare to want one" in the back of my old pos Hyundai Pony :p

Nah, it used to be the original K11 advertising slogan.

Correct.

I seem to recall the ad having a woman throwing a mans belongings out of the window after he borrowed the car.

Hopefully next time they'll throw in a free pair of glasses so she looks before sitting down somewhere. ;)

My early 90's 1 litre Micra has a sticker saying 'CAPABLE OF EVADING HIGH SPEED PERSUIT' (with the spelling error) which is technically true as it cannot reach a high speed. :D

Unfortunately being the only person who gets on at that stop at that time of day means that the second her money leaves her hand the bus pulls away so she just heads/stumbles to the nearest seat and plonks down in it.
