Basically im on placement atm and have a month left before I head back upto Teesside to finish of my last year of uni.

Im looking to buy a new car and ive spotted a possible good deal but the thing is, until I get NEXT months pay (August 31st ish) I wont have enough to buy it off. (which is what I want to do)

Has anyone ever asked there boss for a months pay in advance for any reason? Is it cheeky to do or what?

I know bosses are differant but im still curious to see if this is a usual done thing or not...

Thanks :)

If you go to cash convertors, you can get your months wages early, then when your wages are paid in,CC take it straight away.

I don't know about you, but a lot of companies will do an interest-free loan for employees. It amounts to pretty much the same thing.

Asking is the only way to find out tbh. Some people that have answered need to bare in mind that not 'everyone' can get a credit card or finance ;)

yes the problem is that the OP did not get on the credit ladder sooner.

Should have really gone to carcraft really:D

EDIT, My staff ask for there pay early form time to time. It does not really bother me.

I've asked for it before and had my staff ask me before, generally if it's not a frequent habit I'm ok with it, generally helps to give a reason, they may advance all or half of it, most bosses are reasonable :)

I did this with the Co-Op when I was in my gap year. The best thing was, they paid me next month anyway :p

Double pay = :D
