Asking to run chkdsk /f (windows 2k)

Just switched mobo and tried to boot up my hard drive with an existing windows 2000 already installed and when it gets half way through the Windows 2000 booting, a blue screen appears basically asking to run chkdsk /f.

Don't have my cd on me at the moment but will it simply be a case of a fresh install? Also is there anyway I can run chkdsk /f without using my windows 2000 cd (as I left it at home).

Most likely - probably just a chipset driver incompatibility which is causing the problems. A reinstall will most likely fix that.
