One of my friends was raving on about how good it was and how she has met quite a few interesting people using it.

I think its a little like Facebook but its invitation only and only some members can give out invites which still does not guarantee you will get accepted.

basically I think its Facebook for the young "cool" professional. Thy have organised parties in different cites around the work from time to time and there is one in Prague in a couple of weeks.

EDIT: I have not joined, I am only going by what my friend said.

Call me jealous if you want, but that's my view on most of these "Invite only" things.

Whats wrong with introducing yourself to people in Uni or you see on a daily occurence?

Right on the money

Online social circles are pointless in my eyes.

Forums are great as they can be a huge pool of helpful information, like minded people (as most forums are regarding a specific topic)...

But web based social circles under invite only are more than likely a epeen boost.

I would much rather go out and meet some real people the proper way
