ASMR?

I remember when the phenomenon began over ten years ago. Before it was known as ASMR it was simply known as whispering videos. One of the first creators in the community was known as Whisper Crystal.

I suffer terribly with insomnia, some times for weeks and ASMR videos definitely help me get a solid night's sleep. Strange thing is I'd rather admit to friends and family to watching porn than random woman whispering into a microphone lol.

I agree there are some great asmr videos, all I'm saying is that I prefer the other ones

While it supposedly isn't sexual I reckon if you're a bloke watching anther bloke do this ASMR stuff every night at bed time then there is deffo something gay about it!

Surely the best ASMR videos just happen to be from conventionally attractive young ladies aged around 20-25.

Its been around longer than that - well not on youtube per say but I remember going to Disney/Epcot centre as a little kid like over 20 years ago and going to this booth thing where you put on some headphones and listened to some haircut scenario... it was super realistic and felt as though someone was really there talking in each ear etc..

I guess it wasn't designed to be a particular phenomenon like ASMR etc.. but was instead supposed to be showing off some headphone surround sound technology in general but it basically was essentially an early ASMR sound track that had been created IIRC using microphones placed on a human head etc..

That one back then was probably better that most of the ones that are created by youtubers currently which are basically using a single stereo mic or those ear things.. this was from multiple mics IIRC.

I personally can't relax to a males voice it creeps me the **** out let alone watching them. There is something safe about a womans gentle voice sending me off to the land of nod.
