Aspiring chef with dwarfism offered job by Gordon Ramsey

Given the current health and safety culture I'm not too surprised the college was a bit cautious though apparently they've not specifically ruled out the possibility of him undertaking the course though they (or seemingly the course leader) could have handled it a lot better:

Perhaps a bit moot now as he's stated he'd not accept an offer from them anymore.

Yes, cobblers indeed. Nobody, absolutely nobody, has said what you claim people have said. You know that, which was why you didn't, haven't and can't quote anyone doing so. What you said was cobblers.

It is standard for for Dj_Jestar tbh... he does have a tendency to get rather angry and go straight for insults/snide comments when people have the (in his eyes) "wrong" opinions/views.

Seemingly actually quoting the posters he's taken issue with so far and replying to what they've actually posted is still a bit too much.

If he's waiting on Ramsey to offer him anything I suspect he'll have a long wait. Like dowie says the college need to make arrangements that both parties can agree on, otherwise if there were any accidents whilst he's on the course you can bet the family would sue the hell out of the college.

People have, in seriousness and with good reason, referred to the real and significant health risks for a very short person working in a commercial kitchen. That is nothing like saying "A dwarf getting a job?! HOW DARE HE!" There are many jobs for which being that height isn't a problem or is a problem that can be safely worked around. A commercial kitchen isn't one of them. There are numerous hazards and being a significantly different height to that which the equipment is designed for greatly increases the risks, especially being significantly shorter.

Incidentally, the target of the comment about the boiling water was Gordon Ramsey. But it's a serious point - working with pans of boiling water at head height that you can't easily reach is a serious risk. Cooking things happens quite often in a commercial kitchen.

Thid may be a stupid question but does anyone know how dwarfs fair when it comes to strength?

Because a large Stockpot even a home one with 25+lifers is 25kg with water (heavier with other stuff) that combined with its shape and heat is a hard thing for a fully grown adult male to move.

How exacrly will a person who's closer to 50kg than 80kg fair with it?

The college was doing rh3 assessment he's no said he won't go even if they say it's ok.

All this because they couldnt say yes or no in under a week....

**No Insults** No, nobody has said what I said verbatim, but there is plenty of questioning the safety of a dwarf working in a kitchen, and just like another poster has also questioned if those with doubts think that he should just stay at home on benefits, but, shocker, nobody said that, either!

So the only cobblers are the ones you're shovelling. Are you now going to point out nobody is literally shovelling?

No. I'm going to point out that nobody said anything like what you claimed people had said.

The issue isn't literal quoting, verbatim or otherwise. It's that you made something up completely and pretended other people had said it. That's very dishonest.

I have to agree with @Angilion in this case. Dj's comments were completely incongruous with the tone of what people had actually said in this thread, and to then allege Asperger's just because someone else called you out on the bs is pretty sub standard.

He does seem a bit cross. I hope everything's ok.
