Thoughts on this new board?

Very good price for an 8 + 2 and reasonable feature set.

I believe it doesnt have LLC which is a bit of a deal breaker IMO.

Really? That is surprising given the rest of the spec, even the old 970 Extreme 3 had it?

I'm pretty sure it doesnt and is the reason the Gigabyte 970a-ud3p is still the budget oc board of choice.

Ah thanks for the link.

Interestingly despite not having LLC he still seems to be making progress with overclocking. Will be interesting to see his final verdict.

You can comp for no LLC, but it means having the vcore set much higher (I used to have a 970A-ud3 ver 1.0 so I have experience of this issue). As he mentioned in the link, he suspects the board just couldnt handle having LLC as there are some heat issues. If you dont plan on OCing, then yes that board looks nice and packed with features, for OCing though, its going to be a pita to get working nicely IMO, at least compared to the competition.
