Hello.

1. I would like to configure the BIOS to best settings but i am a beginner.

My pc specs:

9800X3D cpu stock
Asrock X870-e Taichi motherboard with 3.18.AS02 [Beta] Bios
2x16Gb G.Skill F5-7200J3445G16G memory
Evga rtx 3080 10Gb ftw ultra gaming gpu (upgrade to rtx 5090 soon)
Corsair rm1200 shift psu
Arctic Freezer 3 360 cpu cooler
Phanteks P600S case
2 Tb Samsung 990 pro m.2 ssd
2 Tb Samsung 970 evo plus m.2 ssd

I have no problems with pc parts, but I would like to know how to configure the bios for best performance to gaming.

I didn't touch anything, I just set xmp profile and pbo.

What else do you think needs to be set up and how? Can someone tell or show me step by step?

2. Is it necessary to set the memories in a 1:1 ratio?

Currently the memory is running in uclk=memclk/2. XMP on.
Infinity fabric frequency is 2000Mhz
if i change uclk=memclk from 2:1 to 1:1 and restart the pc has black screen and nothing to do...

Is it worth messing with the settings or should I leave it as is? Will I get more fps in games?

thx for your help.

Hi and welcome.

You have 7200mhz memory which is almost impossible to get the CPU memory clock ration to run at 1:1, this is more achievable the lower memory speed such as 6000mhz which is ideal for this.

It can be done at 6400mhz but with a lot if tinkering, at 7200mhz this speed negates the differences and will be miniscule in terms of performance , especially in gaming .

So basically it's not worth the effort.

You should be using expo rather than xmp if available.

Thx.
Than i stay on 7200mhz. I just play with games only.
Would advise you to update the motherboard bios as there have been some important fixes regarding CPU overheating especially in Asrock motherboards.

Remember there always a tusk updating motherboard bios

I'd recommend updating the BIOS for the fixes mentioned above and for the latest security patches, but as for settings: no, you're good!
