Assasin's Creed II for PC

AWPC I thought you had something there...until you said about the knife crime culture :p

I thought AC1 was crap after a couple hours of playing because it got so damn repetative. Screw the story, it wasn't worth wasting my life on that crap.

If AC2 is more of the same then that will go down the same route as AC1...off my HDD, but I am keeping an open mind.

But the knife crime thing, wtf :p computer games don't affect kids. If they did then I'd be a pimp shooting people now beacuse when I was 12 I got bought GTA San Andreas and well, that had no effect on me at all (just an example ;))
Yeah I agree they do not affect most kids but still a little eye opening that in this game its only a 15 certificate when you throw in the all the non family elements I cannot even mention on this website which are just casually discussed ingame like they are talking about whats for breakfast or something else mundane :(

Compare it to the 18 certificate given to Gears Of War 1 & 2, Resident Evil5 etc etc which are all less graphic than AC2 & I question whether or not they even reviewed the game content as it also contains a lot of nudity mainly in the form of classical paintings but some of it is a little risque for a 15 cert computer game. I should also add that Ubisoft also force on you an out of game experience called Uplay which is still in beta and a massive pile of cr@p which you are forced to register to join & log onto if you want to unlock certain ingame content  (servers are overloaded most of the time but you persevere because you wonder how else can you get the full game content you paid for ).

The game seems pretty tame to me. No excessive blood/gore, no even that much swearing, bar the odd few. 15 is not a family genre, that's what U/PG/12A are for.

I'm not sure how to make my verdict on it, I'll leave that for when I finish the game.

The violence is nowhere NEAR as bad as AWPC is making out...you've got knives and you use them. There's a bit of blood, its nothing worse than you see on many "violent" games currently on the PC or consoles.

And of course you wouldn't let your kids play it, thats why its rated as it is. I should think that by the age of 15 they've seen a lot worse on TV and in films.

You can't be serious. You do realise that its nearly all REAL pieces of art, don't you? Quick, stop the kids going into art galleries, they may catch a glimpse of a painted boob.
Even the Daily Mail wouldn't complain about that.

This is so true.

Seriously, if I had Sex Ed back in year 6 (10-11) I'm pretty sure a painted boob will not destroy any of me. And considering the historical context of the game, that's hardly a problem. There's courtesans and some implied adult humour. The rating is fine.

I wasnt thrilled with AC1, I found it interesting at first but it quickly got dull and repetitive.

AC2 never felt repetivie and I was gripped till the very end, I think the only possible down side to the game is that it is too easy, at no point did I feel there was a single fight I couldnt handle, even the tougher enemies like the brutes / seekers are pretty easy once you learn to disarm.

Its a much better game than the first, more fun, more interesting, the story is better, and I'm looking forward to it.

As for saying its too violent, what? Its absolutely no worse than the first one, and I wouldnt call the combat realistic, more stylised, think you've been having too many puffs on the funny fags mate.
