Assasins Creed

The graphics card i've just ordered comes with assassins creed bundled with it.

I'm actually looking forward to playing it as i really like the look of the free running aspect.

Slight hijack!

Just out of curiousity how well does this game run on the PC?

I'm running:
ASUS M3N-HT Deluxe
AMD X2 6000+
4gb PC6400 RAM
XFX 9800GT 512mb (I know its a rebadged 8800gt but i really want to try the hybrid power function out on my motherboard)
Windows Vista Home Premium x64

I also game at 1280*1024 on a 17" TFT

I play it on my rig thats in my Sig, and it is fine...can't say I've experienced any slow down...And thats at 1680x1050 or whatever it is...on a 22".

I thought it was quite fun albeit very repetitive. The graphics are still some of the strongest on the 360, and must still be quite good by pc standards.

an amazing game, though its a game that you must savour, if you backwards and forwards at 60 miles an hour trying to complete it then i dont think you will be getting the most out of it, try completing all the differant missions and using the information you gather to assassinate your target properly.

fave game oif this generation for me

Something to savour and be absorbed in, rather than rush through for the achievement - maybe even an interactive movie.

Sadly for me, once finishing it NO replay value whatsoever :(

I thought this was a brilliant game, yes the missions were slightly repetitive but all games become repetitive over time.

I remember spending time just running around the rooftops killing all of the rangers in the major cities, was great fun! Storyline i thought was very good; cut scenes didn't bother me too much to be fair; can't wait to see what happens in number two and three.

I'd have given it 8.5/10 thats how much i enjoyed it :)

I'm playing through it at the moment. It is indeed repetitive. Each village has the same investigation missions (some kind of time trial, beat someone up, pick-pocket someone and sometimes you get a killing mission) which is just poor. The combat is quite easy too. If you're fighting a normal soldier you just counter their attack and if you're fighting a templar you just counter their grab and hack them pieces when they're on the floor.

I still enjoy it to some extent though. It's a beautiful engine; it's just a shame they didn't put a beautiful game in it. Hopefully a sequel will add some variety to the game play or they hand the engine over to a firm who can properly use it.

With the risk of sounding repetitive, yup it was repetitive as hell. Gave up after the first 3 assassinations when I realised they were all exactly the same. Plus those tedious cut scenes which you couldn't skip. Good gfx and fun for the first 1/2 hour though.

Fun for the first hour or so, free running was a good concept, but the missions are all the exact same...sit on a bench...pickpocket someone...beat somone up...kill target guy...watch cutscene explaining why he wasnt actually evil...repeat lots.

To sum it up, pants.
