Assassin's Creed - Rumoured System Specs

I actually go one step further than that. My rule of thumb is:
-Ignore the min specs altogether
-Take the recommended specs, and add ~50% power/size to the cpu, gfx and RAM
-This is your new min spec for decent performance.

On max surely?
No way you need an 8800 to run it @ min.

Well an E2180 is called an 'Intel Pentium Dual Core' on the box and 'Intel Core 2 Duo' on the OCers website so "Intel Pentium Core 2 Duo" is obviously refering to the same type of chip.

That's because it behaves more like a Core 2 Duo chip. It's branded by Intel as a "pentium" because it's on the low end of their price scale.

It is a core 2 Duo chip just with a few minor changes and less cache, it has a conroe core just like the E6750. I built a machine recently with an E2180 and it clocked easily to 3.3ghz on basic air and when paired with 2x2gb ram was faster than my E6300 in CPU tests like Super Pi and Video Encoding.

Has there been any word from Ubisoft about these ? Everyday they dont say anything the more believable they seem to be, sadly :(. Unless of course they removed any kind of streaming system and just loaded everything into that over the top ammount of ram.....

Well, the game has been delayed on PC, so they can make it the best it can be on PC. I'm hoping that means it won't be so crap.

Edit: Wow. Thought we were on about Assassins Creed 2 here. Jesus, way to bring up an old thread...
