Assassin's Creed this Friday, whose getting it ?

Hey guys,

Got this game yesterday but only began playing today...

2 things; Is there anyway you can play the game full screen? I seem to be playing it in a widescreen window (thick black lines at the top and bottom of the screen). I'm playing it at 1680*1050.

Secondly, is there any easy way of exiting the game? I'm alt-f4'ing it atm...

Sorry if these questions have been answered 100 times before ;)

kk so i started the game and in the begining other assassins talking to me but i cant hear them is it suppose to be like it ?

ps: i cant find sound options. the resolution is not for pc to so if you playing on 19" monitor its like playing on %^&%ing 14 " wide screen
 
I am loving this game at the moment, the movement is very good, and the interacting is superb. I have had a few crahes, but I feel that is more to do with my system spec's.

I can't wait to have my new CPU, and mobo turn up, so I can really play this game :cool:
 
i just quit through alt-f4, nice and quick, generally do it after an event like a view point so the autosave kicks in 1st mind, never had any issues so far

far quicker than the gruelling task of quitting animus, then game, then menu

If using Realtek High Definition Audio, Soundmax HD Audio, or nForce Audio, you
may experience sound anomalies. To work around the problem, reduce the Hardware
acceleration slider to 'Basic' in the Windows Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio

Game's been running pretty smooth for me, although the Kingdom area is very jerky for some reason, and getting a worrying number of crash system reboots when playing it.

Aye the mouse 2b + keyboard combo was a bit confusing, with the quadrant of actions showing in the top-right corner. Changed to my 360 pad and is a lot more straightforward (i.e. the buttons correlate to where they are on the screen :p)
 
So far the only problem ive had with it is that when i minimise the game when in full screen it then goes into windowed mode and won't revert back to full screen until i restart the game. Other than that it runs like a dream 140+ fps all maxed out.
