Assassin's Creed Unity

Enjoyed the game with a few minor probs was hoping for a few games off of it like Ezio as it a chance early on same story till the end which made it pretty much a no go area .... I like the AC games but would like to stay with the same assassin for awhile ... As we don't seem to have present day anymore .... And so much to collect this time .... Feel it was a step back after Black Flag as the most enjoyable AC game but AC2 still my fav AC game

It's worth a punt I enjoyed it had very few issues with the game sp story is short about 10-15 hours but if your a trophy hunter its a hard slog 290 chests plus other collectibles and coop not that bad

Got my free game today for the mess up they did with the game.
Picked Rayman legends, was wanting the crew but it's rubbish, all the rest i have.

Picked up a copy today, now that the price has crashed (serves them right!) - so far... mahoosive update (6.5GB) on PS4, stupid locked safes (forcing you to use their other ****), looks nice though noticed a fair amount of pop in during play, worst part though is that some sound effects sound rubbish - to expand on that:

Ever get those moments in life where your hearing sounds a little muffled - like a sound heard under water? Well there's a fair number of times I've had that same 'affect' seem to happen during certain moments - jumping in a hay pile for example... some footsteps when running.

Edit: seems the muffled sound happens during combat too... hmmm, still a bugged mess I guess; maybe I can tune my ears out though :p

got this from amazon for £25, apparently its the "special edition". Anyone know how thats different to the standard edition?

Finally slogged through the last couple of missions, the story was very average and even ignoring technical issues it wasn't much fun in the latter half.

I enjoyed Black Flag quite a bit so this was a real let down as it felt like a pretty rerun of one of the older games with a lot of filler content but not much actual innovation.

The main assassination missions were quite good fun but most of the other missions relied far too much on combat for my liking. I didn't feel like an assassin as stealth was a non-option in many missions.

As with all AC games, you find yourself fighting the controls as much as the enemies, hopefully they might improve next time.

If you haven't already bought it then I'd probably skip it unless you have played the previous games and still want more of the same. For everyone else I think Black Flag is the better game.

hadn't bought the game because of all the feedback. anyway got it as a present and after a 6.5gb patch I am starting sequence 1 and game crashed 3 times on PS4 (CE-34878-0 error). seriously WTH!

if it's this buggy after 4 patches I cant even imagine what it was like at launch. anyway I am done and will maybe try to replay this next year. well done Ubi :p

when you say "crash", did the game freeze?, if so, its a problem with Ubi's servers (I've had the same issue with both AC and FC4), the game usually starts again after 20-30 secs.

I usually disconnect the PS4 from the internet when playing. not much consolation i know...

Pretty immersed in this, it has some tech issues still but what a deep and entertaining game.
