Assassins Creed: What am I missing?

I think most of you have been playing Hello Kitty Island Adventure and giving the topic starter false information. People say it's meant to get repetitive after a few assassinations, if your bored after the first 30 minutes there is no hope. I'm on the 4th assassination and haven't repeated anything. Played for about 12 hours so far. If you don't enjoy this game you are some what of a turd cucumber.

The truth, as Wyrdo says the assassinations are good but thats about it. 1 hour of drivel to get to the end of each level.

The difference between the levels are at the start you fight 6 guys at once at every save the citizen and at the final stages about 15.

Woooohooo RT X combos. My 4 year old neice can ace those fights. The only good thing is you can watch TV while fighting.

It's just a tarted up Prince of Persia if you ask me. Not my cuppa cha. Swapped it for PGR4 and CoD4. Much better thank you s'ah.
 
Not too bad, but does get quite repetitive after a while.
hmm, what shall I do now, I know I'll climb to the top of the large tower, then I'll pickpocket someone or eavesdrop, kill a few guards for harassing citizens then maybe get the chance to assasinate somebody.
I dropped this as soon as I got Drake's Fortune;)
 
I actually really enjoyed the whole thing. Ok I can see what it's faults are but if you can let yourself become immersed it's a quite fulfilling experience. I even stuck with it enough to collect all the flags (except Damascus 'cause of a damn bug).

The Penny Arcade guys summed it up well http://www.penny-arcade.com/2007/11/14. If you try and rush it in any way you'll miss the point but if you take it slow and enjoy the ride it's one of the games of the year (I kid you not).

Sorry, Jurusalem (for me). Sometimes you can pick up a flag but even though it registers you've picked it up (ie it won't be there any more) it doesn't add to your total of flags. There are a few isolated cases on forums of this and the only fix is to restart. It might be linked to picking up a flag on a timed flag mission.
 
I loved it, could barely put it down.

Completed it on Monday I believe, and I've already loaded back into the game just to do some hack and slash combat.

I'd recommend it personally.
 
IMHO this is far from a top drawer game, sure the graphics are amazing but there is some downright anoying and sloppy touchs to the game that spoil the overall experiance.

It is just so samey its untrue, im only half way through and im bored of doing the same chores.

Repatition isnt just an issue with the tasks you have to do but with the locals, every person you save says the same damn thing word for word, they spent years making this game, surely they could have recorded a few differant voices.

Combat, some argue it uses rhythm and timimg, but basically its button bashing, and when you have seen all the death moves it quickly gets boring.

Its one saving grace is the whole free running system, it really is just amazing, I feel this game is more of a sandbox demo then a proper game, the actual game elements seem tacked on so they could release this engine to the world and get people to buy into it.

I really wanted to love this game, and at first I did, a few hours in though it really start to loose its shine and you look deaper then the graphics and to be honest it doesnt have much more to offer.
 
Personally, I don't think the game is bad, I think it was over hyped.

The fluidity is amazing, graphics are very good but it is quite repetative.
 
I was going to ask if this was worth asking for, for xmas. I think ill get just as many yes's as no's though. I wish there was a demo on xbl :(
