Assessment Day

I've had a lucky escape then, they did seem like the sort of managers where if you make the slightest mistake your out.

yeah we were asked questions on customer service, then had to try and " pitch a sale " to sell a product and lastly was the building a tower team building thing but it all seemed a bit pointless and the questions we were asked were just terrible " how would you help a customer on the paint section which you haven't been trained in yet ". I thought it would have made more sense to ask how you can help them with something you would know

Presumably that question is to check that you wouldn't try to missell the customer a product but to see how you would provide a service to them - I don't know what they're looking for but probably if you get the customers requirements and either pass them onto another member of staff who is trained or make an appointment for them to return at a suitable time that would be along the lines of what they're looking for.

Still it doesn't sound like it would have been a great job for you so you're probably right it's no real loss to you.
