Can't think of any better forum, so GD it'll have to be...

Well I'm at work and I'm pondering spending a fair bit on some new asset tags from Seton, but I'm not sure if I can justify the cost. Anyone here bought any recently and have opinions or competitors that are worth a look at?

Cheers

We use thousands of the things a year, maybe 2 - 3 thousand and we use Setton. they are practically indestructible ones applied, so for portable devices they are great. Ours are metalic colored with the asset number and a barcode on.

We've looked extensively and had a few samples. Our problem is that a lot of the suppliers have tags that come off too easily or self distruct when tampered with.

Basically, they need to be bullet proof.

You can also get free samples. Cost is reasonable. £90 for 50.

Christ! Seton are expensive and they're half that price! We need about 3000+ of 'em. Ordered a sample and quote anyway though.

They are fantastic for portables as they are made of a thickish plasti-metal material and the glue is rediculously strong. They dont wear very easily or get knocked off. We also have some companies that use papery/plastic only ones and they get destroyed on portables, but are usually ok for desktops etc. If your ordering 3000 of them it isnt terrible costs per one £215 / 1000 labels, only 22p a label.
