assetto corsa competizione update today ?

One day maybe. The problem I have with it, from the drivers eye view it looks and feels like a TV on board camera. It has the stiff and smooth motion of a TV onboard, so I find it difficult to actually feel like I'm driving the car.

There's a night and day difference to any other racer I've played in VR, where VR feels like your tactile with the car and the track. Competizione gives me non of that, it feels sterile.

And they added new physics too uh , like TC kicks in on straights plus the back end slides around all over the place lol, just a shame half of my mapped buttons have gone and it wont let me map any new ones lol

Doesn't sound promising. I haven't tried it for a few weeks mind. VR performance seemed fine when I last fired it up but had a strange pixelated look compared to other sims.

Enjoying RSS Formula Hybrid 2019 too much to bother trying anything else for now!

oculus new asw2 has made this game playable for me now, only just tho.

Still looks absolutely horrid in vr and isn't remotely optimized but I can now manage a tt session...…...just.

I finally had time to get the game up to a decent standard.

Have to say on tweaking the experience, i'm enjoying a lot more. You can definitely see the engine they're using and the way they've implemented upon it is the way forward. Racing on a full on 24 multiplayer on Monza was a joy with the weather changes, wet patches, and track physics that just don't exist in regular AC. Finally it felt like on the edge racing, the car was constantly kicking out in a way that I've not experienced in regular AC before.

Messing around with very few in game settings, with nearly all on epic/ultra, I had it nice and fluid and as enjoyable as AC, performance wasn't a problem. It still lacks that sharpness that PC2 has though, even though I had the SS at 1.8 and everything looked ok..ish close up cars and trackside,. As soon as cars or trackside got 10 feet in front though, it looked worse or no better than Truck Sim in VR, a smudgy mess.

Having played Pcars 2.0 with the scale at 2.0 with everything ramped up and being wowed by the experience, that feeling of it being improved by using a higher resolution headset was firmly in my mind. Competizone needs something to get it to that level in terms of the looks in VR, a layer of grease that needs removing. Everything else they nailed it, really pleased with the physics and feedback I was getting through the wheel.

Yeh I really hate the recent use of taa in most games, it looks terrible in 4k or vr.
What's the point of having 4k when recent games then smear the screen with taa.

Then the fxaa in this is pathetic too, jaggies galore.
