Assetto Corsa Rally

The more i play the more impressed i am with the core driving experience. They really have knocked it out the park with this, the potential is huge.

Feels great through my wheel and i've not even touched the settings yet, i think iRacing is the only other game i've ever played where that has been the case.

Had a quick play just now, first impressions are really good!

Spend some more time on it over the weekend. But the feel of the physics seems almost spot on.
 
Bought it graphics and simulation seem great but something way off with controller input

As you speed up it becomes less sensitive to the point you can't get round the corners ! Almost unplayable IMO and can't adjust

I'm sure will be patched
 
I simulator can't truly ever "work" with a controller. Its built for wheel and pedals. Controller will always be an afterthought with sim titles. They're fine with arcade games like GT7, Forza, WRC etc but a proper sim title (like AC Rally) is always gonna prioritise wheel and pedals.
 
Bought this and gave it a quick go, after an hour long race on ACC to 'warm up' :p

Graphics look great, even at medium-ish settings on my 3060 and the simulation bit seems decent however I found the FFB needs 'something', not sure what...

Doesn't help I'm still on my ancient Logitech G25, on gravel I felt nothing at all until I cranked up the gain but then still not great until a harsh rumble as the speed picks up, on tarmac that cranked up gain was nasty but better feel but still felt a little 'weird' to me.

Gonna be getting a DD setup 'soon' so that might help, be nice if there were more settings/config in game though but early access and all that. Looking forward to future updates and also giving it a bit more time.
 
I normally sim race in VR but gave this a go earlier on my monitor.
Performance is superb on the 5090 , everything on ultra and 200+ FPS
Looks amazing and plays very well on my moza r5
Can't wait for VR to be implemented.
I tried UEVR it worked but the quality wasnt there.

Not as good as but I don't agree doesn't work I'm mean EVO, ACC and original all fine with it

Just retired with Dual Sense controller hard wired in and much much better than Xbox Series X controller earlier not sure if it's as other controller detected differently or whether the patch did something
 
Went to go back to this and noticed there was an update, seems a hotfix for Logitech G29 preset/FFB, I hadn't even spotted there were presets tbh :cry:

Anyway, picked the G27 there, oddly no G25, and on the FFB side they did the same gain change as me but also with a bit of centreing spring or whatever they called it, it was a bit better but still lacking tbh, so of course I went and bought a Moza R12 V2 to fix it :p

I was planning to anyway, obviously, just waiting for the BF sale prices to go live :D

Just need to figure out what round wheel to get, got a bundle with the KS wheel and was planning to get the CS V2P wheel for rally stuff but now I'm thinking of the RS V2 cause why not spend all the money :p

I bought it on steam, but man is it hard on controller :eek: looks like I'll need to reinvest in a wheel again if I want to play it as intended.

For now I've requested a refund as I just wanted to hop in and see what the game performed like. I needed 2x frame gen at max settings, 100% render to hit 4K 240Hz :)

Guess I'll start wheel hunting again, I did have a cammus c5 but the support was hit and miss, any suggestions for max compatibility would be welcome, as I have Corsa/Competizione/Beam.ng/Kartkraft among others in my steam library.

I thought it was quite nice on a controller, yet to try on the wheel.

Playstation ds4 I think it's called, the one that comes with a PS4 anyway
 
Picked this up at the weekend while it's cheap - and so far only played the gravel rallys but suitably impressed. Feels good.
