Assignments left to the last second!!?!?!

I'm sat here trying to get my assignment done, as up until 9pm tonight i had not even started it. It should have been in last week, however my tutor made the mistake of saying he would allow it to be handed in late (tomorrow morning at 8am).

I know i should have done it earlier, i have had plenty of time but i just cant seem to bring myself to do it until it really HAS to be in.

Who else does this? Or am i the only one and it's just me being lazy as usual?

To make it worse its on Artificial Intelligence :mad: God how boring it is!!

Damn my lazyness!!!! :mad::mad:


Edit: being on here isn't helping either :p

You've kind of dug your own grave since you're going to be checking this thread for replies every so often.

1. Got off OcUK - it will still be here in the morning
2. Make a pot of coffee
3. Get on with your work now - if you start now you have a better chance of finishing at a semi-decent time
4. Get a better taste in music :p
5. Stop reading this

yeah I'm the same, normally not as bad as leaving it until the night before but the last 5 essays ive written (I had one a week for 5 weeks - how nasty is that) i've been lucky to get to bed before 2am. The most boring one I wrote I got to bed at 5.30am and had to get up at 7am to get to a lecture. Thankfully I only have 1 more to do before I finish my course. Woo!

Get a strong coffee and get it done. :D
 
I've spent all day doing 15 pages of calculations about moment redistributions and deflections and reinforcement for a concrete beam today, it sucks but its gotta be done dude, put a tune on and work away. :D

I'm in a similar situation but I've drawn a blank. Anyone willing to come on MSN and throw some ideas at me regarding reaction kinetics and manipulating the Arrhenius equation...? I'm totally confused! (This is a 1st year chemistry course by the way!).

I have a feeling this is how I am too. I just get so distracted otherwise. Problem is, I always hate leaving stuff till the last minute - it feels like I'm rushing, it's tiring, stressful, and just doesn't look very good either.

Problem is, I get really good marks for the work I submit, so there's no immediate motivation to change my ways. :(
 
I do all nighters 99% of the time for my hand ins.

Just get a couple of cups of coffee down your neck, put the headphones on with an album on you can listen all the way through without skipping a single track. Sooner or later you will end up in "the zone" and you'll be knocking out words faster than you could ever imagine.

Works for me anyway.
