Assistance on part selection

The reviews note how long the cables are, so I'd be surprised if they did not reach, what is your case?

Why that one? The only reason i put the 730W Be quiet in is it has enough cables and power do go XFIRE if he wanted too (things may change in the future), the CX 750 doesn't have the right cables..

May aswell get a decent 550W PSU instead.

Ah, didn't see that one, will add that to my basket. Was referring to the bequiet one linked.

Case is some Lian Li V2000B I think.

Big case, the only thing you may have an issue with is the PCI-E connectors (as they have to travel the longest distance)..

I think you should be fine though. :)

Earlier you referenced sandforce, are they less reliable?

If so, would this be a better option http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-158-SA&groupid=701&catid=2104&subcat=1427

They are one of the best SSD's avalible, if your happy paying the money its well worth it. :)

Looks good, only issue i can see is the RAM, as it's high profile it may collide with bigger air coolers which overhand the RAM slots, I don't think you'll have a problem with the Matterhorn though.

In my eyes these are worth the extra £6 to prevent these problems. :)

Perfect, thanks - Have updated basket and placed order.

Keep an eye out for the 'how do I overclock this **** thread! :)' - Can't have changed too much since the Q6600 days, right? :)

You should know that I can't read by now Doomedspeed. :D

:)

Get your bottle-bottoms on. :)

Needed more sata ports, any particular issue with the asrock?

Not really, they used to be a bit of a budget brand back in the 1556 day but came to live with their 1155 range.

They are great boards but the Gigabytes and asus's have better RMA aswell as some other features.

Though as they don't have what you need (10 SATA ports) the Asrock would be my choice.

Got everything through and built, all looks good, cables are short though literally only just reach my gfx card, talking mm perfect.

I have had to use both pci leads to power my single 7970, is this normal?
If I just use one (1x8pin and 1x6pin) it powers up the card but nothing on screen? Have to use both pci leads and have the 2 spare 6 pins dangling which looks poor at best.

Any ideas? Other than that all good, boot times are ridiculous, 4 sec from pressing power button never seen anything like it!

Yeah the GPU takes a 6 and a 8 pin. :)

So the GPU displays nothing?

Have you tried the on-board graphics. it may just be a driver thing..
