Hi There,

Looking to buy an Astra. Having read online, Im interested in a 2.0 cdti based on them being more reliable than the 1.6 however im a bit confused regarding whether 2.0 cdti 65 plate astras (sep onwards) are ulez compliant or not. I know that 15 plate cars are not compliant and that cars made after sep 2015 are ulez compliant however the links below have confused me slightly as 65 is on the fringes. The car is being classified as euro 5 on one website and euro 6 on another.

for example this car: https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-de...on=on&sort=price-desc&fuel-type=Diesel&page=1

shows as ulez 6 b on here: https://totalcarcheck.co.uk/FreeCheck?regno=dl65wpt

shows as ulez compliant on here but shows as euro 5 car: https://www.checkcardetails.co.uk/cardetails/dl65wpt

And lastly it shows as ulez compliant on the actual gov site: Check your Vehicle

Another example Im looking at:

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-de...sing-location=at_cars&fuel-type=Diesel&page=1

I know that a v5 shows a car's emissions data but it would good to hear the general opinion of anyone with this car who also is also living in a ULEZ zone. Would it be better to maybe get a 16 plate K Astra but in 1.6 form, was the timing belt issue resolved on these newer models?

If anyone can shed some light on this matter it would be much appreciated.

P.S Any suggestions for other cars? Budget is between 5-7 k and upto 8k at a push. Must be diesel, ULEZ compliant and reliable
