Its not like mine has only done it the once either. I know that I can do a 30~ mile drive when the 0 miles warning lights up.

EDIT: Bizzarely the old Leon (Cupra) had a binary fuel gauge, stayed on full for aaaaages. As soon as it went below full I swear you could see it drop to empty.
