Astra with rapid flashing brake lights, fault or new tech?

BMW have a kind of similar thing called brake force display where an extra brighter light comes on when you brake harder. Never seen the flashing astra ones myself though.

is there a chance that the driver had his foot barely on the brake, just exactly at the point where the brake lights go on, causing them to turn on and off at a decent pace?

The flashing ones are an Ebay mod, some guys on the TT forums were talking about it the other day.

A 307 (lol at him) stopped hard at some light in the outside lane, so the hazards were on and then everyone went into the first lane to go around him
