Astraweb Newsgroups - Double Charged

Did anyone get charged TWICE today?, noticed in my email I was charged twice by astraweb which is supposed to be £7.44 a month in uk money. However two lots of £7.44 to 2Checkout.com bills appeared in my email today.

Sent out a support ticket :mad:

I have been double charged in the past, they paid it back before I'd notice so no problem for me.

Hi Neil,
According to our record, $11 has already been refunded to you for the extra payment taken on your account "----". Also your account has found to be cancelled and it will only remain active until the billing period is over.

They refunded it and cancelled my account, wtf?. Time for another support reply, I've never cancelled my account !

I have so far found no reason to leave Astraweb. They have fouled up once or twice but sorted the problem wuickly and efficiently. I even accidentally cancelled my side of the Paypal agreement and they helped me sort that fairly promptly.

Hi Neil,

It seems that the cancellation is done by the billing processor when the refund was issued. You could reactivate your account at the of your billing period.

So there ya have it, they make the mistake give you a refund and cancel your account aswell
