Astronauts??

So quick to shoot this guy down, OCUK.
Eileen Collins walked into a pilots school when she was a teenager and said something along the lines of 'Teach me to fly so I can become an astronaut'.
She was the first female commander ever of a Space Shuttle mission.
While, of course, it's VERY unlikely that any one person to become an astronaut, there ARE still astronauts. And those astronauts are people who, at some point in their early life, said they wanted to be astronauts - probably to the scoffs of their friends who told them to get real.
If you wanna be an astronaut: get a masters in physics/engineering, join the Air Force, wait until you're 35 and apply every year to ESA/NASA.
It has to happen for some people, so why not you?
