Far Far Away!
alright guys. i've said in the past i love 120hz for gaming. but i do ponder on having a 27" and i've seen the asus 27" pb278q and it's very nice. is there another comparable to this, that people think are better?

i have the gtx 780 so it will/should cope ok at the res... wondering what people thought about alternatives..

cheers

Vp2770-led, pleased with mine. Faster pixel response and less lag than the Asus.

Is this just from user opinions? As I can't find many reviews saying response or lag are much better then the Asus...

Edit - I did find this review -
which seems to say the Vp2770-led is much faster.....hmmmmm the price I need to speand keeps going up......I have a NEC Multisync 20WGX2 at the moment which is great but small....

It is a very good monitor, but it's not really any better than the viewsonic performance and image quality wise. So you are paying £250 for a flashy stand. I call that a ripoff.

i would say it probably is better than the viewsonic image and performance wise. but there we go.

also it looks awesome, not like a black utility display.

the main reason for me choosing it was the glossy display though, i prefer it. and theres a lot fewer choices in the 1440p segment with glossy screens

The glossy screen actually puts me off. I want to see the image not myself. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a good monitor, just overpriced for what it is. And I prefer a more minimalistic look anyway.

well we all have our opinions.. unless you have seen it in the flesh you don't know.

i have seen the asus as i chose it first, but as it had dead pixels and i didnt like the matt screen, it went back

oo a lot of thought on both these monitors, i've seen the asus. its a semi gloss screen, but not off putting
