Problem - pc wont go past the boot screen
It does the initial checks, searches for drives etc, then i get the message 'CMOS checksum error - Defaults loaded' after this it displays 'Press F1 to continue, DEL to enter setup' Thats as far as i can get, it wont accept commands from the kb or anything, so now it just sits on this screen.
Ive reset CMOS and left the battery out for more than 24 hours.
Ive unplugged everything that it doesn’t need to boot
Ive swapped out the original stick of RAM for a different one that i know is 100% working
Ive tried it outside the case.
Hardware - 1800 Athlon, ASUS A7N266-VM, 256MB 2100 (think) or 512MB Corsair ive used to test with, generic PSU.
It has worked previously apparently i have been to by a friend who owns it.
Dont know what else to do, must be something silly
