As title, no matter what i set in the bios it just doesnt overclock the pc, even 5mhz or 100mhz everything stays at stock, on latest bios, is asus a8n-e, A64 3800+ x2, geil ram

All things are in manual and 'forced' i.e. 10x multi, ram speed n timings etc

only thing that has changed is i dropped the HT link to 4x and its actually dropped to 800mhz, why wont the other stuff work ? :(

That's a weird problem.

The short time I used a A8N-SLI Deluxe (basically same board as yours) it overclocked fine. So you change all the settings in the BIOS, save and exit, and on booting to Windows it's running at the non-overclocked settings? When you go back into the BIOS does it still have the overclocked settings?

Only thing I can think of is I remember reading the BIOS updates changelog for the A8N-SLI Deluxe and one of them fixed a resume problem related to the HTT etc. Maybe change the power setting to S1 or any of the 3 available and see if it works as it should with one of them.
