ASUS AI Suite 3 doesn't install

the guys dissing ai suite 3 have either never used (the newest haswell version at least - the older ones were crappy) it or just dont know that they are doing.

its running perfectly on my pc and is great for monitoring things as well as the excellent fan speed control profiles. plus the voltages agree with other volt monitoring things.

try running setup directly rather than asussetup

Cool, glad it helped. I cobbled that together from various different tips and it worked for me. My concern was that I was getting BSODs and had attributed it to a bad install of AI Suite 3 so I re-installed windows and it still would not install untill I jumped through all those hoops. It's strange that Asus haven't improved this especially since the "Dual Intelligent Processors" that Ai Suite uses is plastered all over the motherboard box and they push this as a big selling point.

I'm still not convinced that it's installed 100% correctly but it does work now. I only installed the Dual intelligent processors and ez update this time but EZ update does not seem to work.
One strange thing that I noticed is that when I have HWinfo64 running to monitor my CPU usage the AI Suite reports my strap frequency at 80MHz. As soon as I disable HWinfo Ai suite correctly reports 100MHz. Also, the fan control still doesnt allow me to change chassis fan speeds but thinking about it, perhaps I need 3 or 4 pin fans for that?

Some Asus Haswell OC tutorials here if you are interested, one automatic, one manual:

I don't think anyone has ever seen EZ update work. It will update the BIOS once you've downloaded it, but it never finds any new files from Asus.

Several monitoring programs all trying to measure the same thing can interfere with one another.

I've got a mixture of 3 and 4 pin fans, and they all seem to work under AI Suite on my Z87-Pro motherboard. Have you run the fan tuning in the the Fan Xpert 2 window?
