Just spoke with the chap from asus the dimesions of the card are 4.376 inches x 10.5 inches and he says it is a dual slot solution not three.

Any chance you could give us an idea of how long these'll be around for please Fatboy (at this price)? Presumably it's a batch you've got for this price or is it a permanent thing?

thanks

Evening all. Just checked the tracking and we are all set for delivery tomorow. I have got two shipments of 100 comming into stock and that is it at this price point and vendor.

I was looking to upgrade my gfx card soon and maybe sooner than i thought :D , i take it this asus isnt reference design ??? so no good for watercooling with a 4870x2 block probably have to get a xfx card instead , i have a e6600 @ 3.6 using a gigabyte P35DS4 with 4gb ddr2 ram 1 dvd writer 1 hdd etc with a corsair hw520w psu which isnt going to be enough with this card is it ??? as i will probably need a new psu which one would you recommend on a budget to use with this beast ???

As soon as the stock hits I will get one out and have a look at it. Only way to be 100% sure.

Also good review that

Bad news date put back till tomorow. European bank holiday has caused a delay at customs. Sorry for the delay guys will keep you posted for tomorow.

I think OcUK have been fairly explanatory already. Most companies wouldn't say anything about why the date was pushed back, so the fact OcUK have said what they have puts them above most. Ultimately it is out of their hands, maybe they shouldn't have been quite so ambitious with the ETA, but at the end of the day it is just that, an ETA.

And all of this is coming from someone who has had the card on pre-order since the weekend, so the delay has been frustrating for me too. :p (And I can understand where you are coming from.)

It's the first time we have dealt directly on an Asus deal I was being very realistic with the ETA even stuck a few days on to be extra sure. I try to keep you all up to date as to what is happening. Again please accept my apology for the delays and the inconvenience caused.

Ah right, I retract my statement about the optomistic ETA then! :p Given it was only ever an estimate though, and there was never any guarantee they would be in then, yourself/OcUK can't be blamed for the item not arriving in on time. The wait is most definitely offset by the excellent price in my view. :)

Now I fully understand how Asus work now and I am also fully aware of European bank holidays I can guarantee further deals will be more accurate from a delivery date point of view.

In theory it would be o.k but I don't know what power this card draws with the additional cooling etc. Could be fine but then again you might experience stability issues. Really is a borderline thing.
