Asus availability

Posting this in the hope that someone out there has information on the [lack of] availability of the Asus K50IJ laptop range in the UK.

Specifically, I've been looking at the K50IJ-SX249V or -416V which are listed by numerous suppliers but none that I've looked at have any stock. After sending messages to a couple of them regarding supply or lead-time I am none the wiser, either because they have no clue themselves or simply do not respond.

So far, I have also been unable to glean a response from Asus UK.

Is there anybody here with some insight?

Thanks for that message. Up until this point I hadn't determined whether it was a new as-yet unavailable range or one that had been discontinued as you've suggested.

Shocking lack of replies to all my directed emails, however, from retailers and Asus themselves :(
