My BLitz Formula turned up and promptly died mid-way through a BIOS update :mad:

Really not very happy about that, as now it just spins up to CPU Init (per poster LCD) and restarts continually.......cannot do a thing - so much for Crash-Free BIOS

So, my Q6600 is now sat in my P5WDH.......perhaps an X38 board beckons instead, the Blitz is getting RMA'd !

Exactly the same thing happened to me mate. I'm on my 2nd one now :/

Did you update through floppy or via windows?

Foolishly - for the first time in years

- through Windows.....

- guess I am paying the price ! Still, RMA has been approved and off it goes.....now to decide on whether to hang fire for a X38 board, as the Q660 seems fine (at stock, admittedly) in my P5WDH...

Your gonna be waiting a heck of a long time for these to become available for sale in uk, yes estimated to be launched mid september, but if you bank on this date you are somewhat naive, more like mid october..

There is a known issue updating via the windows with Asus mobo's happens a lot. heard of a good few of this board being borked by it.

Don't have floppy so updated Bios through windows, been running fine for me.

ooooh, I only paid £164....£30 increase is pretty hefty......mine has just gone back, mind, and am now relying on my trusty P5WDH until X38 comes along, will make a decision then !
