Hey, im just wondering if you could help me OC my GPU and if it would give me and worthwhile noticeable difference

Out of the box it has a 790Mhz OC

ASUS uses a grphics tool called GPU Tweak to overclock there GPU.

Download this and install the latest version.

This video shows you how to use the app:

Basically its about Increasing the clocks until it becomes unstable then applying voltage to gain stability again. Use your games plus Unigine to check stability as these stress the GPU hard. Increase core first adn find its max then do memory.

For benching turn up the fans to full so you can extact everything from the card. For 2477 I would not go above 1.2v on air cooling. See ho wthis goes and report back.

I uninstalled AMD CCC to install the latest version but half way through the uninstall my screeen went black and has been like this ever since.. I tryed rebooting but all it said is "DVI-0 Power Saving Mode"

Had this same problem when i first got my bundle from OCUK and i fixed it by removing the CMOS Battery, so i did this again and it fixed my problem (installed new amd ccc driver). Loaded my OC profile back up and it seems fine but im guessing uninstalling GPU drivers with a OC is not good?

Is the system stable now??? what driver did you update to??? Often this kind of event can be memory related but we will see.

Yeah i have no problems with the system at all playing games etc, 13.1 i updated to.

Only time i had this problem was when i first got the bundle and now when i uninstalled AMD CCC

Did you remove graphics OC before installing and uninstalling drivers. This can be an issue.

This maywell be a driver issue. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers at stock speeds.

The GPU drivers? how do i do it at stock speeds when the GPU is OC'ed already

Quote from the Asus website about the GPU

"Factory overclocked to perform at 790MHz, higher than stock performance, resulting in higher frame rates in games."

Dont worry about the GPU clock. I am looking more here at overall system stability. The GPU for me is not the issue here. Reset the CPU to stock and try changing drivers etc etc. The card is stable it works in games etc.....

Same problem at stock

Had to remove CMOS battery again to get it to show something on the monitor (system boots but just with a black screen otherwise), installed 12.10 drivers as 13.1 gave me less FPS but not that this makes a difference if something is wrong with my ram

I ran a Memtest86+ for 11 hours and 30 minutes which resulted in 11 passes and no errors, on my memory i noticed the timings are 11-11-11-28 2 which the OCUK guy told me to set but the normal timings of the ram at stock are 10-10-10-32. Could that be causing a problem?

(There is a XMP 1.3 profile 1: 10-10-10-32 in my bios but not being use)

This is a strange one. I dont think the timings which are stable are causing this. Once you get the drivers installed is everything stable again???

Yeah my system is fine, ive played DayZ/Blackops 2 and more games with no issue at all (temps around 56c). Only time it ever affected me was when i uninstalled the gpu driver

Is it possible for me to use the stock timings on my memory or will it make the overclock unstable?
