not much on it so far but oohh it looks pretty linky

I'm hoping its capable of basic video playback (ie ripped dvd's, not h264 stuff) with a lcf tv so that I can use one as a media hub linked to a nas, save me having to get out the dvd's all the time :D

Only time will tell if its worth it or not.

from all the blogs ive read they say its gonna have a Intel 1.87GHz dual core processor

i would like to get 1 just for normal desktop use, as a nice linux box :)

If thats true and it undercuts the mac mini or even the apple tv then it may make a lot of people consider it over the apple options - a dual 1.87 is more than enough for 720p hd contenet :D

here are some more pics. looks a lot dif to the ones above

As I understand it theres a theory that those images are the new e-dt however theres also people saying that its more of a mac mini competitor type product.

Hell either of these options shown will be fine if the price is cheap enough :D

yeah both look good to me. blogs are saying the price will be from $300. to $400.

i found the model name for the pics i posted above.

Eee EP20

yea either way both of the models above (tosk and mine) look great hope they use 2.5 hard drives instead of ssd will push the price down and mean you can update the hd later :D

I stronlgy doubt it will playback 1080p

need AT LEAST a e6300 and 8600/3450 to have smooth playback.

Do these have cd/DVD roms? Cant tell from the pics

yeah they should be using a 2.5" hd and from the look of the 1st pic i posted looked
like its got a slim line rom

rubbish! my laptop Pm 2ghz with 7800GTX play 1080p perfectly fine

err im not talking rubbish.

1) you have over the 1.86Ghz dual core of the e6300 with your 2.0Ghz dual core in your laptop.

2) As you have a faster processor than the minimum, you dont need a video card capable of off-loading work from your cpu. Therefore, you 7800GTx is fine.

Hence, you get adequate playback.
