This program seems to have a bit more function than the Bios has for controling the chasis fans.

Is there anyway to set a profile to load on Windows Start up? The default User profile loads up; It just seems to lose my fan setting so i have to manually set it up all over again.

Maybe i missed something...

I got exactley the same problem, i change the settings to silent and there is no option to save only apply, when I check it again its gone back to disabled. I think it's broken software.

Straight after i made this thread i checked the Asus vip forums (I know, I should have visted there first), I found out there was an updated AI Suite which i downloaded and installed.

Problem solved!

You should check it out.

Which version are you running? Any chance of a link please? I've gotten a version off their website I guess there is a newer one as the one I got doesnt work either.

The xpert Fan version is 1.00.33_20101214, the latest version of the AI suite has it mate.

Hi

I've got the lastest version of AI suite 1.01.14 and can't find any later version exactley the same problem.

Hi

I had the same problem (p8p67pro, AI suite2 from disk - 1.01.09, Win7 64bit) - chassis fan profiles resetting everytime I restarted.

After finding this thread I downloaded 1.01.14 from the asus website and updated fan xpert from the install menu -and it fixed the problem. I didn't need to install the whole package, there was just an option to update fan xpert.

Hi

Its enabled on startup, I've fulled removed it and re-installed from scratch same problems. Another strange thing is when you do Asus update it cannot find any bios files on the Asus servers.

Cheers setter.

Could not get the damn download to work. Then I had a brainwave. Why not look in my pile of discs on my desk? Guess what was in there. AI Suite lol.

Got it installed but have disabled everything apart from Fan Xpert. Things are a lot more quiet now my fans were slinning at 1300rpm before. Now just the CPU fan is on 1000rpm (it is silent anyway) and the case fans are down to 600 unless it get too hot.

Its all good, though I am still thinking about replacing them all with some super silent 3 pin jobbies for hassle free computing.

Yep, the fan xpert is the best part off it, im running dual akasa vipers on my cpu cooler, (600-1900 rpm) theyre pretty loud at full load, but with fan xpert i have them running about 800 rpm for tasks like browsing or movies. Keep my 6 case fans on a fan controller.

I have the latest version and can not figure out how to make the profile stick... Every time I load windows it sounds like an aeroplane until I change the settings from disabled! It's driving me totally batty.

How do I get the profile to load on startup?

It is exactly my problem as well. I can not stick profile to startup. My system is very quiet even on default profiles but i have Zalman CNPS20LQ CPU Liquid Cooler on Asus P8Z77-V DELUXE MoBo and have connected pump to chasis Fan socket not to CPU fan socket to make it run not on full speed (pprox 1440 rpm) but at 800 rpm. Every time when i restart my comp i have to manualy Load my custom profile - WHAT A GREAT OPTION :(
