i don't understand why people are not getting this??

maybe if it was a lian-li innovation it would be much easy to swallow?

Well if anything, think of the space and money they will save when shipping 10k of these things to a country. Flat packed computer case compared to standard computer box im sure it will be significantly smaller volume. Whether we get those savings is another thing. Cant see any real practicality behind it tho for a consumer :/

A case manufacturer I use press/paint/mould cases and ship them flat packed to india where they are riveted together as the shipping is much cheaper this way and labour is cheap in india. Not sure how much cheaper its going to make this case to be honest I bet the cost saved in shipping is negated by the cost of the extra hinges and manufacturing complexity.

May it be a good or bad idea I still wouldn't buy one, it doesn't look that nice nor can I imagine the price being low enough to convince me to buy that over say the antec 300

Seems like a good product to me, if it’s just as strong as a normal case when built then I can see this becoming the norm.
Other side panel seems to be fixed so that'll help lot for adding rigidity but it would still require attaching supports to corners by screws.

And more importantly it's made of thin, weak and resonating tin foil so no hope for that: SGCC 0.6MM

Hmm,
Just off to the patent office....
Inflatable case anyone?
Material probably wouldn't allow EMC compatibility...
Not that some bling pong maker would care about that.

It's not for the user - it's for the agents and dealers so they can save on packaging, transport and storage costs. It's very, very GREEN. No doubt there is some green environmental tax that they won't have to pay. Overall it will reduce damage to the environment and should make cases cheaper.
