Asus ITX ROG

We'll see if I have the money.

Having been a fool recently and acquired a Titan for a good price I may be forced into more significant upgrades to properly support it, and in that event yes I'll be building around the Maximus VI Impact.

I'm overdue an upgrade, but the price has put me off. This combined with the lukewarm reception for Haswell, and Broadwell due next year that will probably have another chipset with better features.

So not sure if best to wait another year, or do a cheap Haswell build that excludes a £205 short life chipset motherboard.

Have ordered one of these (not sure when they are shipping)

Still haven't sorted a case for it though, I want a smallish ITX case that'll take one full length graphics card, 240mm radiator and 1x optical drive.

At the moment that case doesn't seem to exist though...

The only reservations about the M1 is the after-sales support if needed. It's not like you're going to have the backing of a company like Silverstone or Lian Li if problems arise.

It was certainly an issue with Langear if I remember correctly.

As for the case, there's not much in the small ITX that will do that (bar the M1). The SG07/08 comes close but will need dropping back to a 120mm rad.

I guess I must just be more trusting. I buy loads of keyboard stuff from independently run group buys all the time and if I have an issue at least the people running it are nice enough to try to sort it. Also the M1 is being produced by Lian-li for the Ncase guys so there should be a reasonable support chain even if it takes a bit longer than direct to Lian-li...unless it is just directly with Lian-li.

I think he meant the M1. I'm not sure, haven't looked at the thread in a while. I thought the prototyping was over? Either way its probably still a few months off yet. Worth the wait though if it gets you exactly what you want.

I'm waiting to see if EVGA minibox will be any good. Even though it uses a server style PSU I'm hoping the claims of its low noise will be true.

If it turns out pants I'd stick to original plan of a white Silverstone SG-05, or maybe the M1 case will be readily available by then.

When are they actually going to be available though and for how much? Could be waiting a while :(

$160, Silver, silver anodized panels, unpainted & raw interior, black front I/O port
$170, Black, black anodized panels, unpainted & raw interior, black front I/O port
$180, Black, black anodized panels, black painted interior, black front I/O port

Add on $65 for shipping.
