Asus ITX ROG

Ncase M1 is out to order on Indiegogo

$245 to the UK though. Even though it's the only case that really does what I want, I don't think I can justify £160 on a case. And who knows whether VAT and import duty will get slapped on that once it hits these shores.

+1

instead im going for 3570k ivy + evga stinger to save some money that id rather put towards the new radeon GPUs

I would check EVGA forum to see if BIOS memory support has improved for Z77 Stinger. Hopefully issues have been resolved now as it's been out long enough.

Looking forward to seeing pictures of the Impact in systems as its slightly reduced to £199.99 for This Week Only.

I actually decided to go with the Ncase M1 in the end, but I can't in all honesty wait until January before building my new system.

So as a stop-gap i've ordered the Corsair Obsidian 350d. Now obviously it's not a small form factor case but it really was the only case that would take EVERYTHING i'm planning to put in the Mcase N1, and doesn't cost the earth.

So the new components I have in hand are:

Haswell i7 4770k
Asus Maximus VI Impact (ROG)
Kingston 8GB DDR3 1600MHz Hyper X Genesis XMP
Toshiba 3TB Internal Hard Drive
630W be quiet! Pure Power L8/CM Modular
Cooler Master Seidon 240m liquid cooling kit

Am waiting on:
Samsung Evo 250GB SSD

And will use these parts from my existing PC for the time being:
AMD 6870
Crucial M4 128GB SSD
Pioneer BDC-207DBK 8x Blu-ray Reader

I looked at all the Mini ITX cases available but none were suitable:

The Fractal Design Node 304 wouldn't take a 240mm radiator and didn't have an optical drive bay

The Cooler Master Elite 120 had an optical drive bay but wouldn't take the 240mm rad

The Bitfenix Prodigy wouldn't let you use a 240mm rad and optical drive together

The only thing i'll need to get when the Ncase M1 does eventually arrive is a slimline Blu-ray player, but in the scheme of things that's not a lot.

Bit late but still before January....you can't use the 240mm rad with a full atx powersupply with m1, you have to use a sff psu, so basically it's got the same issues as the other cases you listed. :o
