Asus Mars 2

These are the epitome of overprice lol

besides, if you want a mars, the mars 3 can't be far off

Something that would best be left well alone.

If you look at some of the reviews for the mars 2 in some situations they did not work very well and were even outperformed by a standard GTX 590. Having said that when they did get it right they were quick.

They are collectors cards and can't be had for less than £1500. Let the collectors have them I say :p

Out of curiosity I have just had a quick look on 3Dmark11 at 2 x mars 2s in quad sli the performance for the best setup is about the same as the best 2 gpu setups in your 3Dmark11 post.

Two will set you back at least £2000, well enough to buy three GTX 670s with blocks and a full water cooling loop with spare change. You'd get better performance, it'll run cooler, it'll be quieter, less expensive and less power consumption. Running 4 GTX 580 GPUs with only 1.5Gb Vram is going to cause some pretty bad memory bottlenecks (not to mention that 4 way SLI will cause a lot of driver headaches)

Then again, if you happen to be a billionaire with cash to burn, then go for it- but as a collectors item, not for performance.

lol. Crazy collectors. For £1500 ish, you could get 2X690's (almost anyways). The Mars were limited editions, so I can see why they are collectable but from my perspective, I like modern.
