Good question... by bridge mode do you mean connecting various devices to it by RJ45 LAN cable and it communicating with the rest of the network by wifi ?

the N66U is still a few weeks off. I am pestering Asus for an ETA so I can set the product up but I have just been told to wait
Another site already has it set up with an ETA for Feb 1st, which is well tomorrow.

I've had it on pre-order for a week now with said site. I emailed them earlier to ask where my router was. There's been a month "delay". Now expected 1st March. A MONTH!Another site already has it set up with an ETA for Feb 1st, which is well tomorrow.

It's already out in parts of the EU, I wonder why the UK is having to wait so long.
They have to make the uk 3 pin plug as a separate thing, that's why we get a delay.

The initial firmware was extremely buggy to the point where in English language mode it didn't really work at all and people were switching to other languages to set them up, this was fixed with a firmware update which I guess they are now putting on all units before they ship, since not everyone updates firmware.
Hope these are out soon, wanting to get one since once Virgin Media roll out the 60Mb upgrades in my area I don't think my old WRT54GL is going to cut it and these Asus routers are monsters.
without a doubt. obviously, wireless is not incredible for gaming but it is certainly good enough for those who have no option to go wired.
If you have to use wireless, this is the best you are going to get
What exactly is affected by wireless instead of wired?
And how does the N53 compare to my Belkin Play stick?
Sorry, i know literally nothing about wireless networking so I normally walk into purple shirt territory and let them sell me their most expensive thing. I even bought the extended warranty lol

The N53 is mainly for 5ghz routers.

rjkoneill, any news on what is going on with this router? Pre-orders seem to have vanished from all UK sites despite some previously publishing ETAs. Is there a further delay?
