Will the N56U function in bridge mode? I'm wanting it to extend a Wireless network and to function essentially as an unmanaged switch too. I have a DLink filling this role, but it's getting on...
the N66U is still a few weeks off. I am pestering Asus for an ETA so I can set the product up but I have just been told to wait![]()
I've had it on pre-order for a week now with said site. I emailed them earlier to ask where my router was. There's been a month "delay". Now expected 1st March. A MONTH!Another site already has it set up with an ETA for Feb 1st, which is well tomorrow.![]()

It's already out in parts of the EU, I wonder why the UK is having to wait so long.
They have to make the uk 3 pin plug as a separate thing, that's why we get a delay.
I spoke to my guy at Asus today and some new firmware is being deployed on it before launch![]()

without a doubt. obviously, wireless is not incredible for gaming but it is certainly good enough for those who have no option to go wired.
If you have to use wireless, this is the best you are going to get![]()
What exactly is affected by wireless instead of wired?
And how does the N53 compare to my Belkin Play stick?
Sorry, i know literally nothing about wireless networking so I normally walk into purple shirt territory and let them sell me their most expensive thing. I even bought the extended warranty lol![]()
The N53 is mainly for 5ghz routers.
What is your current router?
yep, this is why I cant list it yet.
as soon as I know anything, I will update this thread
