Asus P5B Deluxe - b0rked BIOS??

I have had this motherboard less than a week and i just tried updating the bios.

I downloaded the latest update from the asus site and i used the asus windows update program. It completed the bios flash correctly and then asked me if i wanted to reboot.

It now reboots and i get no VGA output, it just sits there.

Help!
 
Hi there,

Sorry to hear of your problem, but have you tried re setting the bios on the board, also you could try holding down the insert key as you boot up as this sometimes works in re setting things. If none of this works then you could try re loading the original bios from your cd which came with the board - use the option when starting up - f2 i think to update the bios - look in the manual it tells you there.

best bet after any bios update is to clear the cmos for a few mins, tryed that ?

i take it you went from 0614 to 0714 or 0804 if so clear CMOS, i had exactly the same problem 0714 adds some new features and therefore requires you to clear the cmos
