Asus P5b Deluxe - Unknown Pci Device in device manager

was just checking through my device manager and i have a unknown pci-device that i can't figure out what it is. The only pci cards i have installed are my sound card and the drivers are installed for this, so what could this be? :confused:

Strange one eh, had the same happen on my Gigabyte DS4. Ended up clearing cmos and it dissappeared. Hope this helps.

I just checked and I have this too. I've got a network and a sound card in there but both have drivers installed and appear elsewhere in device manager. :confused:

i think i figured out what it was, i installed the onboard sound drivers and it went away! can't see why the onboard sound is displayed as a pci device :confused:

mmm. I'll disable that in Bios and see if that's what it was.

yes thats the correct thing to do, disable it in bios - if your not using it!
