I cant get her past 405fsb on any multiplier, chip good for far more, have aI hit board FSB? Realist im sure has hit 500FSB on this board, what settings have you got? Im doing everything on auto just to see what I can get

Any advice?

I have the same board, you experience massive vdroop from what you set in bios as vcore to what you are getting when the cpu is stressed? I'm seeing around 0.2v as a difference but havent played with it since i set the northbridge voltage which seems to have made things more stable

What would you recomend setting Northbridge to?
I have a CPU PLL voltage, that can be set to :

Auto
1.5V
1.7V

The memory is set to 2.3V and stock timings as it should be and yet if I run blend even with it at 800mhz it fails, why? Its rated for 1000mhz, its OCZ Alpha PC8000

I set it to 1.4v, not too sure that it makes that much difference at the moment as i havent tried overclocking any further at the minute. for the ram settings cant you try loosening the timings out to 5-5-5-23 or something when your overclocking then when you get it stable tighten up the timings back to standard.

I was using ram at 5-5-5-18 and at 920mhz it doesnt like it, why? Im using 2.3V and that should keep it good for 100mhz at 4-4-4-12 as its rated

not all of them support DDR3, and it has the 8-phase power you thought was important. tbh 6-phase is fine for clocking quads really.

Gigabyte only state 8-phase for the DS4. Meh, personally if I could afford a Quad I'd spend a little more on the motherboard than that.
