Asus P5ND2-SLI quick question...

hi lads i have a P5ND2-SLI, the specs on the asus site state it has 8 channel audio i/o. heres a link http://uk.asus.com/products4.aspx?modelmenu=2&model=558&l1=3&l2=11&l3=227

but my question is do i need a 5.1 audio card if i wanna get a 5.1 speaker set?? :confused:

No you don't, when you get the 5.1 speakers, you just connect the three jacks into the appropriate ports on the rear I/O. Your manual will have a table like this:

Then you need to change the settings with your Realtek drivers and all should be aok.

okay im also assuming if i get a 7.1 speaker set the same applies?? cheers

, on that diagram, 5.1 is 6 channel and 7.1 is 8 channel btw.
