ASUS P6T CMOS Issue

Hi guys, recently my 2 year old motherboard has developed a very odd, but very annoying problem. If you turn off the psu or if there is a power cut it forgets the time/date and the bios information. It's easy enough to put the time and date back in and iv saved the profile which is still remembered but it's really annoying as Steam forgets loads of settings as do a few other programs. :/

I've tried resetting the CMOS and even replacing the CMOS battery but to no avail. Any ideas on how to fix this and if not it was bought from OcUK and I see some ASUS boards have 3 years warrenty...Am I likely to?

If I have to replace the board I may as well think about SandyBridge, but I feel it's a little pointless as apart from this fault I'm very happy with my system as is.

If I stick with my current CPU/memory and just replace the board this looks like the most likely choice: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-399-AS

At least I get 6Gbps SATA I spose...

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks. :)

Dude, i have the exact same problem with P6T Deluxe.... Only started happening about a month ago and i've had it for years. Just resets it's self when the PSU has been unplugged for a while.
Mine screws up Steam too, but that's just because i forgot to change the time in the BIOS.
I haven't tried changing the battery, but will do soon.

Make sure the jumper that clears the CMOS is still there (bottom right most jumper on the board i think, have a look at the manual) and make sure there is nothing to short the jumper or battery either.

Edit: There are a few hits on google for this. Mostly like this one - http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/275256-12-bios-resetting
Next time i get my PC out i'll reconnect and reseat everything and make sure all is ok.
